Here are the audio clips from this morning’s appearance on the CHEZ 106 FM – Doc & Woody Show.
Thanks again to the boys for having me on..and kudos for allowing me to keep hunting a topic of conversation here in our conservative Nation’s Capital.

Best of luck to you too Jeff, see ya on the flip side
right back at ya, Iggster…have fun, shoot straight and be safe!
Calling for snow in the mountains tomorrow..somebody pinch me, can it all be a dream?

Oh Great Spirit, let your winds be gentle and your skies be heavy, let there be a blanket of fresh snow to track the antlered one as did my forefathers and grant that I find him with antlers like a tree, branches wide and mighty
Grant that my hand be steady and my aim be true. But most of all grant that my children and their children an there children’s children have the wisdom to preserve your work in the forest, field and stream, so that they too can hunt the antlered one in the footsteps of there forefathers.

Jeff, I’ll be back in town next Saturday, then up to the cottage to do a little legal dogging for the boys up there. I’ve got my 20ga all filled up with #6 and I’m walking the bush looking for fool hens. I bought the small game license when I was moose hunting
You and your gang hunt safe too
geez Chessy, you bring a tear to my eye with your lyrical gesture. 🙂
btw, folks, youtube “Mossy Oak” by Tracy Byrd.
If that song doesn’t represent our feelings with the outdoors, I don’t know what does 🙂
Hey Chessy
have you heard the peom
There once was a man from Nantucket?
here goes
(EDIT)
man, I feel like I’m at camp already…

good luck to all at the hunt. As a bonus gun registry has now been destroyed except for in Quebec.
called the farm this morning, opening morning in Quebec, got a 4 pointer down first thing, and more to come 🙂
Hey guys…just home for a few days rest before heading back out Sunday am. No biggies yet for us but I did pass-up on two forkhorns..one first thing opening am. The little bugger came to within 8 feet of me. Then the 4-point on Sun was a little bigger, but I still chose to pass on him.
Most hunters in our area do NOT pass up on small bucks, but I like to let them walk, with the chance they might make it thru to maturity or at least another year or so. A couple of guys in our camp do that, but not all…it’s a personal choice for sure. I haven’t raised the rifle on the last 5 bucks at our camp…and believe that at least a couple of them are still running around.
Hope all is well out there..nice to see more deer around this year! I played with a young bull moose too..called him to within about 75 feet…horny little bugger..hehe Then the other morning the whole camp shook with an Earthquake in the nearby mountains. Man, I thought there was a friggin bear on the camp roof shaking the place….hehe
